A new season of horse racing begins! Complete with music events, local food and drink vendors, and family entertainment. Various dates over the summer. The first date is the 25 May 2024 until the end of August.

Ullswater 'Steamers' Fish & Chip Cruise

Head to Pooley Bridge on the shores of beautiful Ullswater and hop aboard a cruise for a two-hour evening cruise with a fish & chip supper accompanied by musical entertainment from Pete Lashley. This cruise departs Pooley Bridge pier at 7 pm, returning at 9pm.

Friday, August 2, 2024. Two performances by Daphnis Quartet at 11am and 2.30pm. Two performances by Quartet Concrete at 12.30pm and 4pm. Enjoy classical masterpieces including works by Shostakovich and Beethoven performed by renowned quartets in the stunning setting of Holker Hall.

Kids Comic Art Festival - Windermere Jetty

Windermere Jetty hosts this festival tailored for young artists under 12, as part of the wider Lakes International Comic Art Festival offering a weekend full of comic art activities. Young artists can engage in creative workshops, drawing challenges, badge-making, and various competitions designed to inspire and entertain.

Hop aboard the La'al Ratty for an evening train journey. Your ticket includes a return journey, beginning at Ravenglass station with pie and mash awaiting you at Dalegarth station. Please note that a diesel locomotive is used for this journey.
