There is an abundance of wildlife both on and around the Park. Our secluded location and 12 acres of wild woodland provide the perfect habitat for birds and mammals such as Woodpeckers, Chaffinch, Goldfinch, Pied Magpie, Wren, Blackbird, Badgers, Foxes and Deer. Keep an eye on our widely used nesting boxes and feeders around the Park plus our Honey Bee Home. Future plans include a Wildlife walk.
Surrounded by the Lake District National Park, it important for us to be part of Nurture Lakeland and David Bellamy schemes to help protect, preserve and aid conservation around the Lake District. You can help too when you book online and opt into the Nurture Lakeland donation scheme.
We hold a Gold David Bellamy Conservation Award and Honey Bee Friendly Park Award.
We know you care about the beautiful places you love to visit here in Cumbria. We do too! And that's why we're proud to be a Visitor Giving business.
Donations from lovely people like you make a huge difference, helping nurture the magical landscapes and wildlife that make the Lake District so special.
This year the money you give will be supporting Experience the River. South Cumbria Rivers Trust work with local school children giving them the chance to visit and learn about river habitats and the creatures that live beneath.
Why not take a stroll by the water and see what you can spot?
Thank you for your support!
